the ful moon was seen in vienna wednesday only, instead of september 17th as in japan ...

above the calligraphy of the autumn poem:
名月を
とってくれろと
泣く子かな。

read as follows:
meigetsu wo
totte kurero to
nakuko kana.
[kobayashi issa]

a possible translation of this famous haiku might be:
the harvest moon -
"get it for me!"
cries th child.

presented with antique japanese tea ceramics from my collection.

the focus is on the three mountains of dewa (出羽三山) in northern japan.

they are the home, as well as the holy sites and training places of the ascetic mountain monks yamabushi (山伏), who want to gain magical powers through physical exercises (shugendō, 修験道) and strive to learn to fly from mountain to mountain like a raven ...
